USWNT Stays Unbeaten in Orlando and Dominates Italy 3–0

The United States kicked off their series against Italy with a dominant 3–0 victory in Orlando, immediately asserting superiority over the visitors. The reigning world champions set the tempo from the opening whistle. Just two minutes into the match, Olivia Moultrie finished off a perfect assist from Rose Lavelle to make it 1–0 — igniting the crowd and setting the tone for total U.S. control.

From that point forward, it was all USA. The Americans moved the ball with fluid confidence, won physical battles, and completely smothered Italy, who never found a rhythm. With 69% possession and relentless pressing, the USWNT dictated every phase of the match and created a platform for their star of the moment.

The second half became the Catarina Macario show. In the 64th minute, Sam Coffey sliced through the defense with a perfect through ball and Macario finished with a lethal left–footed strike for 2–0. Twelve minutes later, Lily Yohannes found Macario again — and this time she buried a right–footed rocket to complete her brace. Those two goals brought her to 7 in 2025, solidifying her status as the USWNT’s top scorer of the year.

Macario’s performance electrified the stadium and capped off a complete team display under Emma Hayes. The rhythm, aggression, and attacking clarity left Italy with no response, producing a 3–0 scoreline that reflected U.S. dominance. With the win, the USWNT extended their remarkable undefeated streak in Orlando to 18 straight matches. The crowd fed off the team’s intensity and turned the venue into a fortress where the Americans remain nearly untouchable.

Italy made adjustments, but never came close to shifting the momentum. The U.S. controlled the game at will, accelerated when needed, slowed it when required, and closed the night with authority. The squad looks sharp and goal–dangerous at every line in this new cycle, fueled by the blend of veteran quality and rising young talent.

The series now moves to Fort Lauderdale on Monday, where the USWNT will look to close out the matchup with another convincing performance.
