Toluca Crushes FC Juárez 4-0 to Move Into Second Place

Toluca delivered a dominant performance on Sunday, defeating FC Juárez 4-0 at Estadio Nemesio Diez in Matchday 6 of the Liga MX Apertura 2026. The victory moved the Diablos Rojos into second place in the standings with 13 points, keeping them close behind league leaders América.
Toluca took control of the game from the opening minutes and quickly found the breakthrough. Helinho opened the scoring in the 10th minute, giving the home side an early lead and setting the tone for the rest of the match.
The Diablos doubled their advantage in the 34th minute when Juárez defender Jesús Murillo scored an own goal, leaving the visitors with a difficult task heading into halftime. Toluca continued to control possession and create the more dangerous opportunities.
After the break, Toluca maintained its pressure. Oswaldo Virgen made it 3-0 in the 73rd minute, finishing off a play that began with an opportunity for Federico Viñas. Just six minutes later, Viñas got on the scoresheet himself, beating goalkeeper Sebastián Jurado to complete the 4-0 victory.
The result was another statement from Antonio Mohamed's team, which has now established itself as one of the strongest sides in the Apertura. Toluca has four wins, one draw and one defeat after six matches, while Juárez remains winless and has suffered six consecutive defeats.
