Toluca delivered a dominant performance Wednesday night, defeating Los Angeles FC 4-0 at Estadio Nemesio Díez to secure a place in the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup Final with a 5-2 aggregate victory.
After losing the first leg 2-1 in Los Angeles, Toluca responded in emphatic fashion at home, overwhelming LAFC with relentless pressure and clinical finishing. The Liga MX side erased the aggregate deficit early and never looked back, sending their fans into celebration as they booked an all-Mexican final against Tigres.
LAFC entered the match hoping to protect its narrow advantage from the first leg, where late goals had given the MLS club momentum. However, the Black & Gold struggled to contain Toluca’s attack in the high-altitude environment of central Mexico.
The result marks another strong international campaign for Toluca, who now move one step away from adding another continental title to their history. Meanwhile, LAFC’s hopes of reaching another Concacaf final came to an end despite an impressive tournament run.
Tensions also rose after the final whistle, as LAFC manager Marc Dos Santos criticized Toluca coach Antonio Mohamed over his celebrations following the victory.
