This is what the VIP Zones of the Azteca Stadium look like heading into the 2026 World Cup

The Azteca Stadium continues with its modernization process ahead of the 2026 World Cup. In the last few hours, images and details about the new VIP Zones of the venue were released, which are part of the renovations planned to host World Cup matches.

The Colossus of Santa Úrsula, inaugurated in 1966, will be the only stadium in the world to host three World Cups, after having hosted it in 1970 and 1986. For this reason, its modernization work has been a priority for both FIFA and local organizers.

Within these renovations, one of the areas that has received the most attention are the VIP Zones, designed to offer a renewed experience to fans looking for comfort and exclusivity during matches.

According to those responsible for the remodeling, progress is focused on adapting access, modernizing interiors and improving security and mobility systems within the stadium. These improvements seek not only to comply with FIFA requirements, but also to offer greater comfort to fans in matches of the Mexican National Team, which will play several World Cup matches at this venue.

They will have a contemporary design, modern finishes and top-notch furniture. The areas include larger and more comfortable seats, as well as services such as food and beverage bars, high-definition screens, special lighting and private living areas.

The installation of boxes equipped with the latest technology is also contemplated, as well as spaces for sponsors and corporate hospitality areas, with the aim of complying with the international standards required by an event like the World Cup.

The project also includes the modernization of locker rooms, press area and common areas, with the purpose of maintaining the Azteca Stadium as a world-class venue.

The remodeling is not limited to the VIP Zones, since adjustments are also being made in terms of connectivity, accessibility for people with disabilities and general service areas. All of this is part of a comprehensive plan to ensure that the property meets the expectations of an event of this magnitude.
