Raúl Jiménez Subbed Off in the 87th Minute as Fulham Concede Late to Leeds

Mexican striker Raúl Jiménez and Fulham endured a frustrating night in the Premier League, falling convincingly to Leeds United in a match decided late on. Jiménez was substituted in the 87th minute, and just two minutes later Fulham conceded the goal that sealed their defeat.

From the opening whistle, Fulham struggled to find any rhythm and were exposed by a Leeds side that played with greater intensity and sharpness in front of goal. A lack of attacking efficiency combined with defensive lapses proved costly for the London club, which continues to search for consistency in a demanding league.

Leeds United seized control early and opened the scoring with a well-worked move that left Fulham’s goalkeeper with no chance. From that moment on, the home side dictated the tempo and exploited the spaces left by Fulham, gradually tightening their grip on the match.

Jiménez had limited involvement in attack throughout the game. The Mexican forward attempted to find space and link up with teammates, but Leeds’ disciplined defensive structure and Fulham’s lack of attacking cohesion restricted his opportunities. Fulham’s manager made changes in the second half in hopes of sparking a reaction, but the adjustments failed to shift the momentum.

Leeds remained organized and composed, closing out the match comfortably and securing a result that moves them further away from danger in the Premier League standings. For Fulham, the defeat complicates their efforts to climb the table and improve their position.

Jiménez and his teammates will need to regroup quickly and raise their level in upcoming fixtures, where picking up points has become increasingly urgent in order to stabilize their season.
