Raphael Veiga on the Verge of Becoming Club América’s New Signing

Club América has taken a significant step in the transfer market. According to recent reports, Las Águilas have reached an agreement with Palmeiras for the arrival of Brazilian midfielder Raphael Veiga.

Negotiations have progressed positively in recent days, positioning Veiga as one of América’s key reinforcements for the 2026 Clausura tournament in Liga MX, pending final administrative details.

The deal between the two clubs is structured as a loan with a mandatory purchase option. Club América would assume the player’s full salary, while the total value of the operation is expected to be around $10 million.

Before finalizing the registration, however, the Mexico City club must free up a foreign player slot, as there are currently no available international spots on the roster. At 30 years old, Raphael Veiga is widely regarded as one of the top midfielders in Brazilian soccer. During his time with Palmeiras, he played a pivotal role in multiple domestic and international titles, thanks to his technical quality and attacking presence.

For that reason, the coaching staff led by André Jardine believes Veiga can bring creativity, goals, and leadership to América’s midfield.

If no setbacks arise, the player is expected to travel to Mexico in the coming days to undergo medical examinations and sign his contract. With this move, Club América aims to strengthen its squad with a proven player of international pedigree ahead of the upcoming season.
