Messi Delivers a Masterclass to Send Inter Miami Into Their First Eastern Conference Final

ree

Lionel Messi delivered one of his finest performances in MLS, leading Inter Miami’s dominant 4–0 win over FC Cincinnati and sending the club to its first-ever Eastern Conference Final. Messi scored once and provided three assists, controlling every moment of the match and proving once again that he remains the most decisive player in the hemisphere.

The game began at a fast tempo, but Messi took control almost immediately. He received the ball, turned, drove forward, opened passing lanes, and constantly activated Silvetti and Allende in every attacking sequence. His influence grew with each minute until he opened the scoring himself — a strong header after a combination play he initiated from the right. Cincinnati tried to respond with wide pressure, but Messi dictated the rhythm, slowing the game when needed and accelerating whenever he saw space. He nearly added a second before halftime after a one–on–one opportunity that flew just wide. Inter Miami went into the break ahead — with their captain in total command.

The second half was pure Messi exhibition. Dropping deeper to receive between lines, he created the 2–0 with a perfect through–ball to Silvetti. Moments later, he tracked back, won possession, drove forward, and delivered a surgical assist to Tadeo Allende for 3–0. When Cincinnati attempted to push up the field, Messi spotted another gap — lifting his head and finding Allende again with the outside of his left foot to make it 4–0. Every attack ran through him. Every dangerous action started at his feet. “La Pulga” produced a display reminiscent of his best European nights.

Messi could have had yet another assist when he sent Rodrigo De Paul through on goal, but goalkeeper Celentano denied the fifth. The Argentine arrives at the final stretch of the season in spectacular form and now leads Inter Miami into a historic Eastern Conference Final. His leadership, vision, and precision are felt in every attacking sequence. If he keeps playing at this level, Las Garzas can truly dream of lifting the MLS Cup.
