Marcelo’s Son Enzo Alves Signs First Professional Contract With Real Madrid

Updated: Jan 27

Enzo Alves has taken a major step forward in his young career after signing his first professional contract with Real Madrid. The 16-year-old forward finalized the deal on Monday, accompanied by his parents, with a release clause and contract terms reflecting his new status within the club.

The signing had been planned for some time and confirms Real Madrid’s commitment to one of the most promising attackers to emerge from La Fábrica. Club officials moved to secure his future after a rapid and consistent progression that did not go unnoticed at Valdebebas.

Enzo’s development has been both steady and accelerated. Powerful, direct, and blessed with a natural scoring instinct, he earned the trust of coaches throughout the youth ranks. Last season, he made his debut with Juvenil A at just 15 years old, standing out in a youth derby that proved to be a turning point in his rise.

During the current campaign, Álvaro Arbeloa—then in charge of Castilla—handed him his opportunity with the reserve team in a match against Manchester City in the Premier League International Cup. Enzo Alves’ growth has not been limited to the club level. His talent has also been recognized by the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

The young striker has worn the captain’s armband in Spain’s youth teams and earned his first call-up to the Spain U-17 national team in March, despite belonging to the 2009 generation. In just his second appearance for La Rojita, against Austria, he delivered a goal and an assist, confirming his immediate impact even against older competition.

Marcelo was present for the contract signing and continues to closely follow every step of his son’s journey. The former Real Madrid fullback even traveled to Manchester to watch Enzo’s debut with Castilla from the stands.

A proud father and a rising talent. Enzo Alves has signed his first professional contract and is now beginning to write his own story at Real Madrid.
