James Rodríguez Joins Club León Ahead of 2025 Clausura and FIFA Club World Cup.

Colombian midfielder James Rodríguez has signed with Mexico’s Club León as a free agent following his departure from Rayo Vallecano.


Rodríguez, 33, mutually terminated his contract with Rayo Vallecano in early January 2025 after limited playtime, featuring in only seven matches. Per Israel Romo, A TUDN.com correspondent, he joins Club Leon on a one year contract with the possibility to extend.

Club León, set to participate in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, secured Rodríguez’s signature to bolster their squad for the upcoming Clausura tournament.
