Inter Miami Beats the Liga MX Tricampeón Club America in Penalties.

Inter Miami CF and Club América faced off in a preseason friendly at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. 

The match concluded in a 1-1 draw, both being attacking teams it was an entertaining game of back and forth that provided hints of what's to come ahead in their respective leagues.

Club América opened the scoring in the 31st minute with a goal from forward Henry Martín.

Inter Miami responded swiftly, with Lionel Messi netting a header in the 34th minute, marking his first goal of 2025.

The match served as an opportunity for Inter Miami’s new head coach, Javier Mascherano, to evaluate his squad’s performance against a formidable opponent.

For Club América, the game provided a platform to assess player fitness and tactical approaches ahead of the upcoming Liga MX season.

The encounter drew a substantial crowd, not surprising considering the Club America fan base, and how influential Messi and company have been in raising attendance numbers for inter Miami.
