How Long Will Víctor Dávila Be Out? Club América Forward Suffers Serious Knee Injury

Víctor Dávila endured a nightmare night against FC Juárez. The Chilean forward suffered a serious injury to his right knee after a play inside the opponent’s penalty area that resulted in his immediate transfer to a hospital.

In the 37th minute of the first half, Dávila attempted to challenge for the ball when his leg awkwardly twisted against the turf. The reaction was instant. The attacker fell to the ground in visible pain as teammates and opponents quickly signaled for medical assistance.

Broadcast cameras captured the player’s screams, triggering immediate concern both inside the stadium and across social media platforms. Hours later, Club América confirmed the diagnosis: a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee.

The injury represents a major blow for the Liga MX giants, who also lost the match against Juárez. Dávila had been emerging as a key piece in América’s attacking lineup, but he now faces a long recovery process.

ACL injuries typically require surgery followed by several months of rehabilitation before a player can return to full competitive form.

Club América will now have to reorganize its offensive strategy while Víctor Dávila begins one of the most challenging recovery periods of his professional career.
