Harry Kane Breaks Historic English Football Record with 500 Career Goals for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane added another historic milestone to his legendary career during Bayern Munich’s 3–0 victory over Werder Bremen, scoring his 500th professional goal and becoming the first English footballer in history to reach that mark in official competitions.

From his first professional goal with Leyton Orient in 2011 at just 17 years old to this remarkable achievement, Kane’s journey has been defined by patience, steady development, and elite finishing ability in front of goal.

During his time at Tottenham Hotspur, Kane surpassed Jimmy Greaves to become the club’s all-time leading scorer. With the England national team, he broke Wayne Rooney’s long-standing record, cementing himself as one of the country’s greatest-ever forwards. His Golden Boot at the 2018 FIFA World Cup and multiple Premier League scoring titles further established his reputation among football’s elite.

Kane’s success has never relied on flashy moments but on precision and timing. His 500 goals have come across 20 different competitions, including 213 goals in English league football, 88 in Germany, and numerous strikes in the UEFA Champions League and international tournaments.

Since joining Bayern Munich in 2023, Kane has enjoyed extraordinary form, scoring 126 goals in just 91 appearances. In the current season, his scoring average places him among the most decisive strikers in European football, continuing to demonstrate consistency at the highest level.

His career goal tally includes 280 goals with Tottenham, 126 with Bayern Munich, 78 for England, nine with Millwall, five with Leyton Orient, and two during his loan spell at Leicester City. Each stage reflects a different phase of his growth as a player and leader.

At 30 years old, Harry Kane still has several chapters left to write. With his relentless consistency and professionalism, the England captain continues to expand his legacy and strengthen his place among the greatest goal scorers in modern football history.
