Tigres Femenil continues to strengthen its ambitious project after announcing the signing of Scottish midfielder Emma Watson, who arrives on loan from Manchester United Women to reinforce the midfield ahead of the 2026 Clausura tournament.
The Monterrey-based club leaned into the name coincidence with the famous actress and unveiled their new player using a Harry Potter–inspired theme. The creative announcement accompanied a signing aimed at keeping Tigres as the dominant force in Liga MX Femenil.
Watson joins Tigres on a six-month loan, with the goal of bolstering a squad that is defending the Apertura 2025 title and remains the most successful club in the league since its founding in 2017.
At just 19 years old, the Scottish midfielder stands out for her vision, physical presence, and ability to contribute on both sides of the ball. Tigres is betting on her youth and talent to add dynamism and creativity to the center of the pitch.
Emma Watson becomes Tigres Femenil’s fourth reinforcement of the season. Prior to her arrival, the club added Myra Delgadillo, Ilana Izquierdo, and Mariza Nascimento, all of whom have already made their debuts at the start of the tournament.
The coaching staff is focused on expanding its tactical options within a squad accustomed to competing for titles, where high standards remain a defining trait. Watson joins a well-established group with lofty expectations.
The Scottish midfielder arrived with the Clausura 2026 already underway and is expected to make her debut between Matchdays 6 and 7. Tigres is hopeful she will adapt quickly to the team’s style and begin contributing immediately.
Tigres Femenil continues to make precise moves in the transfer market. With Emma Watson anchoring the midfield, the club strengthens its structure and reinforces its intention to remain at the top of women’s football in Mexico.
