Brazilian teenager Endrick once again delivered an eye-catching performance in his second appearance in France. The young forward provided an assist in Olympique de Lyon’s 2–1 win over Stade Brestois, a result that confirms the excellent start to 2026 for the side coached by Paulo Fonseca.
On loan from Real Madrid, Endrick was once again a central figure, creating constant danger until fatigue set in and proving that his arrival has been a perfect fit for a team now dreaming of UEFA Champions League qualification. Every touch from the Brazilian sparked excitement in the stands. His presence in the starting XI instantly lifted Lyon’s attacking level, transforming a side that once relied on limited solutions into one driven by a decisive, hungry talent eager to relaunch a career that is only just beginning.
Endrick was a constant menace in the first half. He pressed relentlessly, attacked open spaces and repeatedly unsettled Brest’s back line, which was further weakened when Romain Del Castillo was sent off early. The Brazilian registered four shots before the break. His clearest chance came after intense pressing left him one-on-one with goalkeeper Marco Bizot—Endrick attempted a spectacular chip, but the keeper read it brilliantly. Moments later, he tested him again with a powerful strike to the near post.
Lyon opened the scoring through Pavel Šulc, one of Ligue 1’s standout performers this season. Before halftime, Endrick produced a sensational through ball that led to a stunning goal by Abner Vinícius, registering his first assist in France. Despite visible fatigue and flashes of youthful impatience, Endrick once again showed that his impact at Lyon is immediate.
With an assist, constant involvement and sustained threat, the Brazilian continues to cement a highly promising start in France—fueling the belief of a fanbase that is already beginning to embrace him as one of their own.
