Charlotte FC secured a place in the 2025 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs after a decisive 2-0 victory against the Philadelphia Union. With the win, The Crown locked in the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference and earned home–field advantage in the first round of the playoffs. A feat that the team emphasized as a goal of theirs for this season, end in the top 4.

From kickoff, Charlotte asserted control. After out‑shooting Philadelphia and dominating possession, the breakthrough came mid‑first half when Wilfried Zaha curled a precise shot past the keeper to put The Crown ahead.
