Toluca thrashes San Diego FC to advance in Concacaf Champions Cup

Deportivo Toluca Fútbol Club delivered a commanding performance with a 4–0 victory over San Diego FC at the Estadio Nemesio Díez, securing qualification to the next round of the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
After losing the first leg, Toluca responded emphatically at home, overturning the deficit with an aggressive and high-intensity approach from the opening minutes. The Mexican side imposed its rhythm early, generating constant attacking pressure and capitalizing on key chances to build a comfortable lead.
The goals came through Jesús Angulo who opened the scoring with a decisive finish. In the second half, Paulinho added the second with a well-placed strike, Angulo scored his second goal of the match and at the end Jesús Gallardo sealed the victory with the fourth goal, completing the comeback for the Mexican side.
Toluca’s offensive efficiency proved decisive, with the team showing sharp finishing and strong collective play to dismantle the MLS side. Defensively, the hosts maintained control throughout the match, preventing San Diego from creating clear scoring opportunities and keeping a clean sheet.
