Mexican striker Raúl Jiménez reached a major milestone in his career by scoring his 200th official professional goal, though it came in a 3–2 defeat for Fulham against Manchester United during the 2025–26 Premier League season at Old Trafford.
Jiménez’s historic goal came in the 85th minute from the penalty spot after he was fouled inside the box. The Mexican forward calmly converted the spot kick with a powerful, well-placed shot that beat the opposing goalkeeper.
With that strike, Jiménez reached the impressive mark of 200 official goals scored across club and international competitions, further cementing his status as one of the most prolific Mexican forwards of his generation.
Born in Tepeji del Río, Hidalgo, Jiménez has built a distinguished career in both Mexico and Europe, earning recognition for his goal-scoring instincts and consistency in front of goal. In an action-packed match, Manchester United took an early lead and controlled large portions of the game. Fulham responded late through Jiménez’s penalty, but the Red Devils ultimately secured a dramatic 3–2 victory in stoppage time.
In addition to Jiménez’s goal, Fulham briefly equalized through a strike from Kevin, but a decisive late goal handed United all three points.
This milestone goal adds to a career that includes successful spells in Mexico, Spain, Portugal, and England, as well as key contributions with the Mexico national team in international competitions.
Reaching 200 goals symbolizes Jiménez’s longevity and ability to deliver in crucial moments, even in one of the most demanding leagues in the world, reaffirming his place among Mexico’s most accomplished strikers.
